I grew up with a clear and deep understanding that problems weren’t just obstacles—they were invitations to find a better way.
I didn’t see a broken world and walk away. I started looking for patterns. Where people were struggling, where money was flowing, and why those two things rarely met.
I watched as money flowed freely in some places but never reached the hands of those who were doing the real work.
I saw women—strong, brilliant, capable—who couldn’t access funding due to a system that was not designed for them.
And I learned something important: access isn’t about merit. It’s about proximity.
Proximity to wealth. Proximity to networks. Proximity to trust.
And when you’re Black or Brown, when you’re a woman, when your work exists outside of the traditional mould, that proximity can feel impossible to reach.
I started OmegaSeven because I wanted to build the thing I saw was missing so that many women could benefit from it, in the UK in Mexico and hopefully across the globe.
